We met Brandon when he was still with K&A. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge, work ethic, and personality. We became the first customers of Brandon's Sonoran Dreams Landscaping. We met Brandon several months prior to his branching out with his new company, Sonoran Dream Landscapes. What a wonderful choice for us to stay with Brandon and utilize his expertize with the total landscaping of our new home. Since we were total “newbies” to the state of Arizona, we were able to take his professionalism and design talent to help us realize what our landscaping would look like. His insight to detail as well as his knowledge of local plants really helped turn our desires into reality. Brandon was great about listening to what it was that we wanted and understood our individuality as he put together drawings and plant lists. We had no clue what would look best or provide us with year round design. As we moved step by step, Brandon was always there to coach us in the best possible direction to achieve our goals. Brandon took care of coordinating all that needed to be done, from the hard scape to the coordination of our plants, our water feature, a bit of green grass, but also my need to have an area for my flowers. Everything went according to plan, and Brandon made sure that everything was done in compliance with our HOA regs in mind. We appreciated the work ethic of Brandon and his crew; they were always at our location and at the appointed time, completing the job.

​We first met Brandon several months before our house was completed when we were seeking bids for the landscaping. There was an immediate connection with Brandon as he really listened to what we shared about our interests for the lot - native plants, low water, easy maintenance, flowers in yellows, oranges, and purples blooming for as much of the year as possible. In addition we needed a phased plan in the event our midwest home did not sell. Brandon left a booklet about landscaping in the desert with us to review and consider.

Several weeks later we received Brandon’s plans for our landscaping. We were especially pleased with his ideas for the hardscape and how to phase the project. After meeting with Brandon a second time to review the plans and further discuss the plants we committed to having him do the job. Our house in the midwest sold shortly thereafter and we were full steam ahead with the entire package.

Brandon was extremely flexible and patient as we kept changing the plants. Again, he really listened when we discussed wanting to attract humming birds, not have vines that would eventually block our view, and making sure we had enough variety to have blooms for much of the year. He offered many positive suggestions, including the addition of several big ceramic pots in our entrance and how to light the yard.

Once the work began we were pleased with the professionalism of his crews. The hardscape team was fantastic. Francisco and his team did an outstanding job of laying the pavers. The result was exactly as we envisioned from the plan. Next came the crew who installed the irrigation system, built the mounds, planted the plants and set the lighting. Wow! it looks exactly as we envisioned. Our front entrance is spectacular and many neighbors are commenting on how beautiful it looks. Brandon’s ideas for lighting the garden as opposed to the walkways are particularly impressive and really enhance the yard at night.

If you want to work with a creative individual who really understands southwest landscaping we would highly recommend Brandon Michel and Sonoran Dreamscapes. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. Sometimes we pinch ourselves and say we are truly living the dream!
